And looking down, people. AndrewAndrew. London, UK View fullsize View fullsize I see apartments. In the daytime its quiet but at night there is more activity. A bit less now. I love the dark winter when you can look into peoples houses.Birgitte. Oslo, Norway. View fullsize The view from the bedroom windowVictoria. Hockley, UK View fullsize I see the leaves and the top of a large elm tree.Oslo, Norway. View fullsize View fullsize Manuela. Bucharest, Romania Hi! I see Fredriksten fortress. I am proud of my views. I see Halden city centre, and even glimpses of the fjord. I see grand trees that are green in the spring and summertime. The colours in the autumn are beautiful until the leaves fall off. I see wooden villas and traffic, but not too much traffic. Best, Linda.Linda. Halden, Norway View fullsize Dear Gabi, From my flat I can see other blocks with balconies full of flowers and clothes on a line, cars parked, children playing and parents who supervise them.Beatrice. Bucharest, Romania View fullsize View fullsize Plenty of green space (for Bucharest standards) and blocks.Dan. Bucharest, Romania View fullsize We live next to a very busy road, not really a cosy view and there are quite a lot of empty homes for sale, but it is close to the centre of town. Anne. Tongeren, Belgium View fullsize View fullsize I can see the green courtyard. Divided into small gardens for each of the houses. In the small blue house there is a dancing school and in the yellow brick house there is a printing factory. In the horizon I can see the city’s towers - not skyscrapers, as most buildings in Copenhagen have no more than 5 floors - but theold church towers, the tower of the City Hall, and of the parliament building. I can also see the top of some of the roller coasters in the amusement park Tivoli.Stine. Copenhagen, Denmark View fullsize View fullsize From my flat I can see other flats also a school playground and the trees on it. There are no major roads, which is fantastic. I can also see part of a football stadium but I can say that I do not miss the noise of a football match at all.Teresa. London, UK View fullsize Taking into consideration that I have all the windows facing the street, I see plenty of cars that drive at an outrageous pace, but I also have a few trees in front of the block which reduce somehow the pollution.Smaranda. Bucharest, Romania View fullsize View fullsize I am in the living room, the photos of my grandchildren are on the sideboard. My laptop is on my left, I have received many e-mails and have no time to read them. I have put the air conditioner on 18°C, it is very hot. There are 32°C degrees outside.Doina. Bucharest, Romania View fullsize I have an entire world before me when I look outside. The city with high rise buildings, Hotel Plaza and the post-building. I have city blocks, many roofs and some Oslo-fjord. Lots of green, Botanical garden, Holmenkollen, today white, covered in snow. Our lovely garden with benches and tables. The flowers are on their last legs, but beautiful too. Oslo, Norway View fullsize View fullsize I feel like I can see ‘everything’ from my flat. It is bright and lovely: the sea (the Oslo Fjord), the islands, Oslo Plaza, the Government Quarter 22. July still covered in white, the people along Grønlandsleiret.Randi. Oslo, Norway View fullsize Depending on where I sit, I either see empty buildings and the sky or empty streets. The two generic office buildings which frame my view to the west were once inhabited. We used to feel overlooked before we had curtains and then when we opened them on a weekday morning. Now the only sign of life are a group of young men who live in eyeshot in a reality TV style pad, often drinking beers topless in the sun and BBQ-ing. I also see the two homeless men who sit in the street every day, often walk past and ignored. They remind me every day of the immense privilege with which I live. Alex. Bucharest, Romania View fullsize it's my neighbours house across our house the photo is taken from our study , today he is selling a bicycle from his son the son has several bikes . In our village people often sell things just by putting them in front of their house with a for sale sign. We also do that a lot and mostly it doesn't take long to sell it.Lin. Lauw (Tongeren), Belgium View fullsize A leak in my roof! Ceiling was soaked so had to come down. We need a new roof but no funds!Jane. Hockley, UK. View fullsize Julia. London, UK View fullsize I used to be able to see the entire Oslo, the fjord and the great sky. Now I only see a lumpy concrete-box, called ”the barcode”, but I can still see the sky. Steffen.
